Overview

Patton Fund Management, Inc. is owned and managed by Mark A. Patton. Mr. Patton founded his investment management firm in 1992, offering separate account, long-only, U.S. equity portfolio management services to both individuals and institutional investors. Patton Fund Management, Inc. was founded in 2002 when Mr. Patton offered his first alternative equity product. Patton Fund Managmenet, Inc. is a Registered Investment Advisor with the Securities and Exchange Commission and manages approximately $50 million in client assets.

Mr. Patton is a native of Indianapolis. While studying at Indiana University, he worked for Melvin Simon & Associates. After spending two years in Charlotte, North Carolina, Mr. Patton returned in 1992 and founded his investment management firm. Patton Investment Management offering separate account portfolio management services. Today Patton Fund Management, Inc. serves about 200 investors.



Mr. Patton’s entire focus has always been on U.S. traded stocks. Mr. Patton designed and developed his own proprietary stock analysis software utilizing data from such sources as Standard & Poor’s Compustat, I/B/E/S, and the University of Chicago’s CRSP database. Proprietary research spanning four decades of daily individual stock and market behavior resulted in multiple absolute and relative return strategies.

The alternative investment strategies are offered through separately managed accounts and hedge funds. These are managed by Mr. Patton with the support of the company’s staff providing administrative, operations, and customer service functions. This takes place in the company’s office headquarters in downtown Indianapolis.

In support of the community and businesses in Indiana, Mr. Patton is a daily contributor for the Inside INdiana Business radio program. For eight years he was a featured stock analyst for the Inside INdiana Business weekly television show. Mr. Patton was also recognized by the Indianapolis Business Journal in its Forty Under Forty list of the up-and-coming young businesspersons as one of the youngest in the group.
