J. Bruce Laughrey, President, TelSpan, Inc. - Bruce was born on December 12, 1941. He attended South Dakota State University and acquired his BS degree in Pharmacy in 1963. Bruce was a pharmacist until he became the founder and President of Medi-Span, Inc. in 1973 and Tel-Span, Inc. in 1991. Medi-Span, Inc. entered the world of publishing in 1977 with the publication of the first prescription pricing guide, which was subscribed to by 15,000 pharmacies in the USA. The publications were converted to computer databases with the advent of microcomputers and integrated into pharmacy software systems throughout the U.S., Canada, Argentina, Japan, South Africa, and the United Kingdom. TelSpan has become a significant provider of teleconferencing services nationwide with thousands of associations and businesses utilizing the TelSpan switching center in Indianapolis, Indiana. Bruce currently is a Board of Director for Hooks Historical Foundation, Kappa Psi Education Foundation and a Member of Dean's Advisory Boards for Purdue University, South Dakota State University and Arizona State University.
Jimmie Caldwell, Retired, Geiger & Peters, Inc. - Dr. Caldwell was born on January 28, 1928. He attended Tri-State University for his undergraduate degree in civil engineering in 1951 and he acquired his honorary degree from Tri-State University in 1980 for his PhD in Engineering. Dr. Caldwell was the founder of the Indianapolis Alumni Chapter, served two terms as President and served National Alumni Society as Director, Secretary, Vice President and President for two years. He was also the recipient of the Distinguished Service Award in 1968 and was elected alumni member of Board of Trustees in 1976. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1946 to 1948. Dr. Caldwell and Olivean were married in 1951 and have two children and two grandchildren. He was employed as President and Chairman of the Board of Geiger & Peters, Inc. of Indianapolis, Indiana until he retired on January 19, 2000. Dr. Caldwell continues to serve as a Board of Trustees of Tri-State University, Board of Directors of Indianapolis Optimist Club and Membership Chairman of Indiana Society of Professional Engineers.
Thomas M. O'Neil, President, OfficeWorks - Tom was born April 25, 1947. He attended DePauw University and acquired his degree with a Bachelor of Science in Economics and an MBA in Marketing from Indiana University. Tom spent several years with the F.C. Tucker Company as a commercial real estate broker and eleven years in sales and management with the Xerox Corporation. In 1984, he founded OfficeWorks, Inc. and now serves as President and CEO as well as serving as the President of Officeworks Services Inc. He is a member of the Marion County Economic Development Corporation and has been involved in the Lawrence Township Foundation, member of the 1986 Stanley K. Lacy Leadership Series and Stanley K. Lacy Opportunity Indianapolis and is a past President of the Girls Clubs/Girls, Inc.
