Biography of Mark Patton
Mark Patton has 15 years of experience as an investment manager with an exclusive focus on U.S. equity investing. Mark is President and founder of Patton Fund Management, Inc., whose mission is to deliver positive, absolute returns with little correlation to traditional market investments. This mission is pursued through the implementation of investment disciplines built on the principles of behavioral finance.
Research is a foundation for investment success. Mark directs his research efforts toward the study of behavioral finance principles and historical stock and market cycles analysis. A focus is always maintained on long-term performance.
Today, Mark Patton and the company’s professional staff serve a select group of high net worth individuals and a limited number of institutions. Mark’s vision is to have a positive and significant impact on the long-term investment success of these select clients.
Prior to founding Patton Fund Management, Inc., Mark worked at Melvin Simon & Associates while studying finance at Indiana University. He then went to work for First Union National Bank in Charlotte, North Carolina. In 1992, he founded his investment management firm after designing and developing his own proprietary stock and market analysis software that is still used as the backbone of his business today.
Mark has written articles for various magazines and newspapers and has appeared on local and national radio and television programs. This includes a weekly appearance on Inside Indiana Business for the past eight years. Mark was recognized by the Indianapolis Business Journal in its Forty Under Forty list of up-and-coming young businesspersons in 1999 as one of the youngest in the group.
